A “Conference on Scientific Concepts and Advancement for Humanity” was organised at Bidalur Campus on the association with the celebration of the National Science Day (February 28, 2023).
The Day – 1 (09.03.2023, Thursday) morning session began with the invited talk by Dr. Kartick Mondal, Scientist from SHELL Technology Centre, Bengaluru and he was the invited guest on the occasion and delivered the inaugural lecture on “A better Life with a Healthy Planet: Energy transition and Shell Technology in the presence of Chair Dr. R. Vetrivel. Later Ms. Meghana, Research Scholar from PPISR delivered a talk on Lithium ION batteries: Evolution and Future and it was followed by another interesting invited talk on Biological Sciences by Dr. P. V. Shivaprasad of National Centre for Biological Sciences, TATA Institute of Fundamental Research, Bengaluru.
The afternoon session under the chair of Dr. Udupi A. Ramagopal, former Dear and Associate Professor, PPISR with the invited talk of Dr. Kusharga Bansal of JNCASR, Bengaluru and followed by other talks by Mr. Nikhil Gigi – Research Scholar, Biological Sciences, PPISR – “proteolysis Targeting Chimera (PROTAC), Ms. Asha Devi, Research Scholar of Materials Sciences on the topic “Waste to Wealth” and final session had the talk of Mr. Manoj .P , Research Scholar of Materials Science on “Advances in Hydrogenation and dehydrogenation of Liquid Organic Hydrogen carriers (LOHCs)”.
