Poornaprajna Institute of Scientific Research (PPISR), a unit of Admar Mutt Education Foundation (AMEF), was conceptualized in 1998 by the then Pontiff of Adamaru Matha, His Holiness, the late Sri Vibudhesha Theertha Swamiji, as 'A center where scientists would be involved solely in research and training doctoral students'.
The Founder's vision is now carried forward enthusiastically by the current Chairman of AMEC, H.H. Sri Eeshapriya Theertha Swamiji.
Today the institute is recognized by DSIR, Govt. of India, and MAHE, Karnataka, as a R&D centre.
Research at PPISR is pursued broadly under three divisions: Biological Sciences | Materials Sciences & Catalysis | Theoretical Sciences.
In addition to in-house research, the Institution holds Collaborative research under numerous sponsored projects, MOUs with various Universities and Research facilities and also hosts the Poornaprajna Analytical Center (PAC) to offer technical assistance and knowledge sharing among research networks.
