The Founder’s Day for the year 2023 was organised at Bidalur Campus with technical sessions in all the three divisions. The programme began with the invocation followed by welcome address by the Director Dr. Anand B. Halgeri. Then, there was a brief note about the Founder Chairman H H Shree Vibudhesha Teertha Swamiji by the Dean of Academics Dr. Ganapati V. Shanbhag. and also he introduced the Chief Guest in his address.
Dr. Shubha V., the former distinguished scientist of CSIR, National Aerospace Laboratories, Bengaluru was the chief guest for the inaugural session with a key note address by her. The inaugural sessions was followed with an array of lectures such as “Embracing the Future: Circular Economy in the Chenical Industries” by Dr. Navneet Kumar Gupta of Centre of Sustainable Technologies, IISc, “Gravitational Geometric Phase” by Dr. Banibrata Mukyopadhya of Department of Physics, IISC, Bengaluru and followed by the concluding lecture by Dr. Manjunath M. V of Department of Neurovirology, NIMHANS, Bengaluru on the topic Understanding neurological complications of COVID-19: A Lab based approach.
The programme had concluded with the presentation of summary of the day’s lectures and Vote of thanks by Dr. Anand for all the participants.
