Seminar talk by Mr. Hrisheekesh Prabhakar: “Simulation of Quantum Information Processing Tasks”

Abstract:

In this talk, a discussion is made on the basics of quantum communication and its practical applications through Qiskit. Qiskit is an open-source software development kit (SDK) for working with quantum computers at the level of circuits, pulses, and algorithms. It helps us develop quantum programs that can be run on real-time quantum computers through IBM Quantum Experience or simulators in local devices. A few protocols that were executed via Qiskit during my course of internship at PPISR are explored and the current work on the simulation of optical elements on a quantum computer leading to counterfactual quantum communication shall also be commented upon.
