Founder's Day – 2017 Technical Sessions

This year’s Founder’s Day celebration was of low affairs as the grand gala of participants was limited and importance was paid for Scientific Activities.  In this regard, a two-days Technical Sessions was organised for all the three divisions with distinguished personalities delivering lectures in all the three divisions.  The first day’s sessions was inaugurated by  renowned prof: Chandrabhas Narayan,  Chemistry and Physics of Materials Unit, JNCASR, Bangalore by lightning the lamp on the occation and delivering the keynote address titled “Raman in the Modern Age”.

After the keynote address, the sessions were followed with talks from Dr. Ramakrishna Matte, CENS, Bengaluru on  “Insearch of alternatives to fullerenes for organic photovoltaic”, Dr. Nagaraja C Mallaiah, IIT Ropar, Prof. Hema Ramachandran, RRI, Bengaluru on “Real-time imaging through turbid media”, Prof. T. Srinivas, IISc, Bengaluru on “Photonic integrated circuits: Application to quantum information technology”alongwith lectures by our own faculties also.
